Song: A Different City
Artist: Modest Mouse
Album: The Moon And Antarctica
Rawr, rock! And existentialism! I love the brainy, yet primal energy they bring on much of their best stuff. Grounded and immediate but heady, for those of us trying to have it both ways. “Someone smart said nothing at all/I’m watching t.v./I guess that’s a solution/they gave me a receipt that said I didn’t buy nothin’.” Yeah, that’s existential. Then you rock out. Awesome. Man, I love pulling this album out every now and then.
On that note, may I introduce our special classroom creation, baby chiffon. Rather than toss out a minute amount of batter, I thought it better to create life:
“Call me lemon olive oil.”
