“We’re going, and we’re gone”

Song: Next Exit
Artist: Interpol
Album: Antics

Ah, here we go. Somehow I missed this, as it played two tracks before Divinyls. In the same vein as the last one, but more “legit” (i.e. arty, ha ha). And yes, it’s prettier and a little weightier, so you might not feel as guilty enjoying it, even though it still has a bit of that “aww” aroma coming off it.

I like this album better than their debut, which was too brooding and dark. The sophomore always felt more varied to me. Hearing this song makes me feel all positive, enough so that I’m thinking of using the album for my jog, which is very odd, because Interpol doesn’t really go with sunshine.

Then again, I didn’t think I’d answer the question “what will I feel compelled to post?” with “Divinyls” first.
